Zangmeister Cancer Center and American Oncology Network Welcome Dr. Katherine Exten

Board-certified medical oncologist Katherine Exten, MD, joins the physician team.

COLUMBUS, OH., November 19, 2024 — Community oncology practice Zangmeister Cancer Center, a partner practice of American Oncology Network (AON) (OTCQX: AONC), is pleased to welcome Board-certified medical oncologist Katherine Exten, MD, to its physician care team. Dr. Exten is now accepting patients at the Columbus clinic.

Dr. Exten is Board-certified in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine. She earned her medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The Zangmeister team now includes 12 medical oncologists, two gynecologic oncologists, and eight advanced practice providers across three Ohio locations. The practice is committed to providing the community with innovative cancer care that is delivered holistically based on research and evidence-based medicine. Zangmeister cancer patients have access to a diverse range of services for diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, survivorship, and patient support that are close to home, eliminating the need to travel long distances to receive care.
