Katie Alexander graduated from North Central State College with an associate degree in nursing. She began working as a staff nurse in the surgical/trauma ICU. She returned to complete her bachelor’s degree in nursing at The Ohio State University. After realizing she wanted a higher level of knowledge and more impact on the care delivery of patients, she completed a master’s degree in nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing with a specialization in adult gerontology acute care nurse practitionership.
Katie is a Board-certified nurse practitioner with active memberships in the American Cannabis Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about advocating for the healthcare and cancer needs of the LGBTQAI population.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys baking, gardening, spending time with her husband, two children and three dogs. Her ultimate retirement goal is to own a donut truck.
